  1. Oh good, comments are working now. I was all like... RAGE! Also, it's my birthday two days after this closes, so Rafflecopter should give me some extra entries. I know which of the YA books I want. Which of the personal favourites do you recommend? I like the look of The Goose Girl.

  2. Oh, and in answering the question, I'm gonna be a total dweeb and say getting my school stationery supplies. New books, pens, pencils, erasers... yeah, I'm a dork.

  3. My favorite back to school ritual is the shopping for school supplies... which I do all year long, but I'm an office supply hoarder :)

  5. Yay, the comments are working. :) When I went to school I always liked shopping for new clothes. Right now no one in the fam is a student, but I think I should still get some clothes anyway!
    Thanks for the giveaway.

  6. Lissa: I definitely recommend The Goose Girl. It's such a sweet story! And since you like science fiction, I would also recommend Mistborn. It's amazing!
And hey, I agree there's something fun about new pens and pencils. :)

Jessica: I need to start hoarding office supplies myself, since I can never seem to find a pen. Lol.

  7. Evie: Ooh, fun! A new look for the new school year. That's a good idea.

Kathy: Hahaha, I feel the same way. I'm not going to school, but after 12 years of back to school shopping, this always feels like the season to go get clothes. :)

  12. My favorite back to school ritual is shopping for a new outfit and school supplies. At least if I have a few cute clothes and folders, pens, etc then I'm at least a little more good with going back. I guess I should really get as much as I can out of my fun shopping this year because it's my senior year! Thanks so much for the giveaway!

  30. My favorite back to school ritual would have to be going shopping for school supplies :) I love going and getting all the things I need. It's only annoying when the teachers ask for a ton of stuff, and are very specific about it too, but then we don't end up using any of it the whole year!! Oh, well :)

    Thanks for the giveaway!

  32. Even though it's been a while since I've been in school the sight of school buses, even though they're empty, beginning to roll around in August makes me queasy! I used to love shopping for new school supplies, though.

  37. Well I don't really have a ritual for going back to school except enjoying the last weekend by sleeping in and staying in my PJ's the whole day! :D
But I loved the whole Back to school shopping and sales rituals while I was an exchange student in America, it made going back to school a little less dreadful. :)

    ReplyDelete
  38. Oh I used to love getting all the new things for school such as a new pencil case.
Also knowing I am in a new year therefore older and more 'respect' at the school!

    ReplyDelete
  39. Wow, this is so much better than paper and pencils.

  42. I don't really have a ritual, my best friends and I usually meet up for coffee on the first day of college/school as we're at different colleges nearby so we meet up at lunch time on the first day back, but we can't do it this year as wel go back on different days.

Would it count if I also told you I have a strange obsession of timetables? My fave part of the first day back is getting and colour coding my college timetable...

  47. I'm a serious office supply fiend, so any chance I get to go to Staples to get pencils or notebooks is a long, fun one. I haven't bought any yet as I'm not sure what my classes will require, but I'm looking forward to it!
