Foreign Cover Friday: Catching Fire [Re-Posted]

In honor of The Hunger Games movie, I am re-posting this edition of Foreign Cover Friday.
You can see the original post here.

This week's featured cover is:

Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
English language US edition
Remember when I did a FCF for The Hunger Games? Well now it's time to do one for Catching Fire, in honor of Katniss' participation in the Tournament of Heroines! :) I had some problems with Blogger last night and couldn't get this posted until just now, so please forgive me for being so late.

There are so many covers I found for Catching Fire, which means that if I were to do another post of The Hunger Games, I would probably find a lot more covers for that book, to. I'm trying to get this up quickly to make up for lost time, so no commentary today, but my favorites are (in no particular order):

What are your thoughts?
Which covers do you like? Which do you hate?

Thanks for joining me for Foreign Cover Friday!

If you have a FCF post to share, include your link below.

  1. I like the UK covers, but the purple seems too happy for the books lol. The Danish one reminds me of The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo. I've never loved the US covers, but I do prefer them over the others. Great post!

  2. I looooooooooooove the Dutch and German ones. SO much emotion comes through that the simple mockingbird pin doesn't convey.

The cool thing about the mockingbird pin is I think it makes it appeal to men.

  3. The German title was interesting. I also liked the different "fire" references like "ignite" "in flames" etc.

  4. I like the German and Lithuanian German over. So pretty!

  5. I like the Greek edition best but many of them are pretty.

  6. The spanish title is "In flames" because in Spain is "Katniss Everdeen, La chica en llamas" (Katniss Everdeen, The girl in flames). And also because "Catching Fire" has no meaning in Spanish :P
Sorry for my bad English, I'm learning :D

  7. Great idea for a blog series! In this post the first "Swedish" cover is actually Norwegian – Opp i flammer/Up in Flames.

Thanks for commenting! I read each and every one, and reply as soon as I can :)

Please note: The Reading Fever is an award-free zone. I am very flattered, but comments are all the thanks I need.
