A Happy New Year Post Full of Random: Domains, Resolutions, Notes, and A Winner!

I hope you all had a fabulous night! 2012 is shaping up to be an epic year. The Hunger Games movie, fantastic book sequels, and The Hobbit! It's going to be great. I have some ambitious ideas in the making for 2012 and am so excited to bring them to you. The first plan was executed last minute this morning, when I decided that I did not want to spend one minute of 2012 with ".blogspot.com" tied to my blog address. So....I am now on my own domain!

{Insert audience cheering here}

I am now TheReadingFever.com. If you are subscribed to any of my feeds (RSS, Email, GFC) you don't need to do anything. You will continue getting my posts just like you have. If you would like, you can change your feed or email subscription to get my new feed (below), but if you don't, you will still continue to get my blog posts. And if you are a new reader, I would love it if you'll subscribe!

Resolutions
Now the fun part!

Here is my very random list of life-but-mainly-blogging resolutions for 2012:
  • Witness The Hunger Games movie
  • Take archery lessons
  • Read the Harry Potter series for the first time
  • Re-read The Hunger Games series for the--how many times have I read it already? I can't remember.
  • Complete all the reading challenges I signed up for
  • Improve my book reviews
  • Limit the books I accept for review, so I don't over-schedule myself
  • Schedule every single blog post (don't leave it up to fate, because then it will suck)
  • Learn the secret to G+
  • Organize my bookshelves
  • Drink more water!
  • Streamline my blogging process
  • Computer less, read more.
  • Bury a time capsule full of books for kids 50 years from now (don't ask how this one came about)
  • Keep book reviews as the main focus of my blog (don't fall to temptation!!)
  • Do guest posts on other blogs, and have more guest posts on my blog
  • Transition away from using GFC (find alternatives)

What do you have planned for 2012? Is there something you want to do, experience, or try for the first time? I'd love to know.

I have just chosen the winner of the 2012 Harry Potter Reading Challenge giveaway
Congratulations to:

Michelle, from Book Briefs!
Michelle, I'll be contacting you soon so be on the lookout for an email from me.

The giveaway is now closed, but it's not too late to sign up! The challenge is open to everyone who has read, or has been wanting to read the Harry Potter series. I'll be reading it for the first time next year, and am so excited to have others reading the books with me. Will you join us?

Note: I know it's been a hectic few weeks for my blog with the Top 10 in 2011, Heroine Tourney, and all the giveaways happening at the same time. I have been trying to combine posts so that there are less posts coming through your feeds (because I know going from regularly posting 5 days a week to 7 days a week + multiple posts each day is not cool), and I hope that has helped. This coming week will be much of the same, but I solemnly promise to be back to my regular schedule after the tournament ends on Friday. And Foreign Cover Friday will be back in full force on the 13th. Thanks for being so patient with me!

Thanks for commenting! I read each and every one, and reply as soon as I can :)

Please note: The Reading Fever is an award-free zone. I am very flattered, but comments are all the thanks I need.
