Calling all Utahans: Come To The Utah Book Bloggers Social and the Utah Book Festival!

It's that time of year again! Two events are coming up that I am highly anticipating:

The bi-annual Utah Book Bloggers Social,
and
The Annual (but-is-apparently-really-bi-annual) Utah Festival of Books!!

The Utah Festival of Books will be on September 10th, from 10:00am - 3:00pm.

Remember the last one? It was so cool! And now there is another one! Get more information by clicking the photo above.

Side note: I think it's very interesting that this seems to be playing right into Utah's Holy War. Okay, okay, I'm probably making the connections myself since I bleed blue and white, but I couldn't help but notice that the last UFoB took place at BYU, and this next one will take place at UofU

For those of you who don't live in Utah: The Holy War is the nickname of the HUGE rivalry between two universities: Brigham Young University, and the University of Utah. Some who don't know better say this is just a football thing, but let me assure you--this rivalry goes beyond football. And apparently (according to me) it has just reached the bookish world. ;)

The Utah Book Bloggers Social is a potluck picnic that will take place at Vivian Park up Provo Canyon, on September 10th (yep, same day as the festival) at 6:00 pm. Families are invited!

The last social I went to was really fun, but I barely knew anybody. I came away with some new blogger friends who I have gotten to know a little better, so this time will be even more fun!

If you live in Utah and want to come, you can get all the details on Suey's blog.

  1. I totally tried to find out when this book festival was, so we wouldn't plan our party on the same day. I didn't find a thing about it, so we went ahead with the date and THEN suddenly we are hearing that it's happening. Gah, I'm so bugged! Oh, well. Maybe everyone will just plan for a full fun bookish sort of day, right? :) (Has the date been on that logo all this time? If so, I'm feeling pretty clueless about now...)

  2. Isn't that the worst? Lol. I hate it when things like that happen. I have no idea if that's been on the logo this entire time; I didn't notice it until today, so I'm not sure. :/ It will all work out, though. :)

    Juju: Wish you could come!

Thanks for commenting! I read each and every one, and reply as soon as I can :)

Please note: The Reading Fever is an award-free zone. I am very flattered, but comments are all the thanks I need.
