July 2011: In My Mailbox & Random Acts of Kindness

I wasn't planning on combining these posts, but things have been crazy around here lately (as evidenced by my utter lack of reviews last week).

Anyhow, this was my first month participating in Random Acts of Kindness, hosted by Book Soulmates. This is where you sign up and randomly send books to others who have signed up. I found out about it halfway through July, and thought it was such a great idea that I joined right away.

Sent:
My first month participating is a little embarrassing because, well...I slacked off and didn't send the book(s) I planned to send before the month was over (no mail tomorrow). So next week Carrie from Stalking the Bookshelves will get a package. I'm all about surprises, so highlight between the brackets below to see what she'll get. No peeking Carrie!

{Heist Society by Ally Carter & City of Bones by Cassandra Clare}

Received:
This month, I received Abandon by Meg Cabot from Lauren at Ravishing Reads! I have been SUPER excited to read this book. I love Greek myths, and Persephone is one of my favorites. Thanks Lauren!!

This is also my first time participating in In My Mailbox, hosted by The Story Siren! Instead of doing weekly posts, I plan to do one post at the end of each month to show the books I got for the entire month.

All of the books below were received during July 2011.

  11. Hey there,
    I came to check out all your goodies. I love surprises as well so I didn't peek, I promise.

    I just finished The Iron Knight the other day. I read all four books back to back and loved them. Now I have to try and write my reviews. I'm a bit stressed about it. Not gonna lie. LOL

    I have The Girl of Fire and Thorns to read as well.

    I will keep my eye out for your review of Heist Society. I have that one on my wishlist as well.

    Happy reading!!
